Perhaps that pun of mine about Texan oilmen giving each other a handjob requires a little bit of explanation to make sense so it goes like this, of the three nearly successful attempts on my life as I’d been working on oil rigs, one while onshore then two offshore, all three were literally attempted by men who were Texans but that’s merely a droll factoid, the point of the pun wasn’t to imply that all Texans are wankers or a bit gay tho they probably are ~ The point was that they were discussing the price of the oil America imports from the Middle East, not the price of oil they drill for in places like Texas, they were discussing the fact that with the plummeting value of the US dollar after 40+ years of a slow-motion Reaganomics trainwreck the oil-producing countries are no longer willing to accept payment in US dollars, that’s because after their privately-owned US Fed bank just spent the last 20 years printing money without adding value to the currency the real value of the dollar has effectively been adjusted by those America trades with ~ Now there are few countries in the world willing to accept payment in US dollars for anything tho Washington will vehemently deny such a sad fact of life in the middle of their make-believe live-shooter school-massacre madness, but the reality is the govt was borrowing money from US Fed banks just to meet interest payments on their real debt since Prescott’s grandson Dubya, so Um, Er, Ah, Umm, you’ve all been diddled…
